Out of Africa

This jacket I created after taking a class from Elin Noble at A Quilters Gathering. I took elements of a fabric and appliqued them on black cotton then did the piecework. Each of these jackets takes around 40 hours to complete. I use many techniques that I've learned from Rachel Clarke in this piece as well as others I've created. Hope you love this as much as I do.

Flirty Skirt

Here is a skirt that I created for a friend of mine who was looking for something unique to her and had an uneven hem. Love the combination of colors in this.

Wanted to share with you my first attempt at entering one of my pieces in a Quilt show. This piece was entered into A Quilters Gathering and won a 3rd place ribbon. It is called "Dyeing to be Purple". All fabrics in this are 100% cotton and most of them were had dyed. In my attempt to make all fabrics navy blue, the fabrics chose to come out of the vat in purple, so my coat was named "Dyeing to be Purple". Thanks for enjoying.
